In the Commonwealth of Virginia, the following types of Identification are accepted for notarization of documents: United States passport card, Certificate of United States Citizenship, Certificate of Naturalization, Foreign Passport, State-issued Driver's License, United States green card with photograph, State-issued identification card, and United States military identification card.
The documents a mobile and remote notary can notarize in Virginia are documents including Power of Attorney, medical directives, and affidavits, Self-proving wills & trusts, Real estate documents (deeds, loans, closings), Business contracts, formation papers, School forms, travel consents, DS-3053, Apostille-related documents (transcript, consents, etc.)✅ Remote notarizations available- the signer can be anywhere globally, but the notary must be in the Commonwealth of Virginia. * We cannot notarize Vital records (birth, death, marriage certificates), any incomplete document, or Documents without the signer present (in person or remote).
